There are songs that make me very sad....Wind Beneath My Wings...when my dad died we had 4 red heart balloons tied together, they represented my Mom, my other two sisters and me...my Dad always believed us girls could do anything and he was always just that, the wind beneath our wings. The balloons were released to Wind Beneath My Wings on a clear day in July. Hey Jude represents first love lost. Unchained Melody first love ever Moon river...(yup i am this old) The song for our first dance at our wedding Butterfly kisses, it always makes my daughter cry
Happy songs.. anything by Bad Finger. Satisfaction....love the Stones The music from Practical Magic gets my spirit soaring and I play that soundtrack when I am getting settled in for magik. Loranna McKenna what brought RHUFF and I together....Ingema (never mind what this reminds me of)
So yes music has a huge affect on me. Do I know know all the artists and the songs they sing..NOPE...but i know what i like and that is all that counts

Music has always been a part of my life. My Grandfather played the violin each night to put me to sleep upstairs. Uncle Joe plays the piano and organ and my whole family was int eh church choir as were Daddy and I. Ginger toured Mexico with the choral group from NHS her senior year.
Like Ginger said, music can control your hwole being. If you're at a party and it's the worst ever, put on some upbeat 50's of 60's and watch everyone perk up. The easiest way to kill a moment is to play crappy music. You've heard me say many may times how it'snot the words but the music. Take VooDoo, I know it's all about Heroine, but te music touches my core, the words are incidental.
Mozart is said to make people smart, Barry white is sexy, Weird Al is, well Weird Al. We play teh classics here in the office because the calming music keeps the anmals peaceful, even though it puts me to sleep sometimes.
