I am no chef, but try boiling your pasta in water, but with a bit of olive oil in it- it's very tasty and it keeps the noodles from sticking together. And as far as cheese goes I have not much advice for you there! I somehow became lactose intolerant within the past year, lucky me. I do remember that gouda or provalone cheese (the nice kind you get at a deli) are both mild and tasty.
