I called Radiology to schedule my MRI. My paperwork lists 'MRI BRAIN' which I find awfully amusing for some reason. The questionnaire I filled out asked about braces, and my ear specialist thought I would have to have them removed for the MRI. I was like no fracking way! First that is a pain in my big booty, second that will cost money. BUT I

Thanks! Me too - I probably would not do the MRI if I had to take off my braces. I'll just be glad to get it over with and rule out the brain tumor or issues or whatever.

I get CDs made of every MRI I have (2 so far, 1 more in November), that way you can scroll through the pictures and watch your face and bones melt away.
I had my head and neck done and they made me take out my nipple piercing because they said it would burn me badly.
I also had a really bad reaction to the contrast dye the first time, so now they know not to use that. Other than that and the price, MRIs are kind of fun. It's like being instead a big drum while people bash away on the outside....

Good point, I'll need to take out my nipple rings. I didn't even ask about the dye. I'm just more worried about the results than going through the MRI.

Although when told I should get an MRI done, I thought of the movie Exorcist... ;->
