well, i can teach you the old fashioned way...
first, upload them to a photo hosting site, like photobucket.
if youre a winows user, right click on the images. properties, and there will be a URL that describes that picture's location on the web.
in brackets <>, type the html like this:
img src="www.hjgchksjcg.com"
(i didnt put the brackets because the code would not display... lj would try to find www.hjgchksjcg.com.) you can also post pictures from anywhere else like that. img src stands for image source.

you can also center images by nesting the image source :
