Things kind of came to a head yesterday. There was a fire that spread to public transit between the City and the East Bay. My therapist cancelled our appointment, but we decided to do a phone appointment instead. The commute was a mess. People were waiting in line at various BART stations for more than two hours. There were only so many buses the bus company could spare. I don't blame him for not wanting to deal with that.

A lot of people don't have cars in San Francisco. Once you get past Berkeley, you need them again, but he's from Oakland which is just right across the Bay from SF.
