It's true of a number of the Republican candidates in Washington state, most notably (but not exclusively) the Republican candidate for governor. It's even more so here, because even on our ballots the candidates can list whatever they want as their "party preference" - "Prefers GOP Party" is common, but there are even more creative ways some candidates have found to avoid saying "Republican" for the record.
I prefer voting on election day, and will miss it when my county goes to all mail voting starting next year. But I am ready for this election to be over.
