Major surgery is kind of freaky, as a concept - they're gonna do WHAT? Not to mention the game theory of risks

But it sounds like you're going into this in a good state and with good preparations for aftercare/recovery. Good luck with it, and I hope both the the surgery and immediate recovery go well and that 6 months on you're in an even better state than before with your partly-manimal SUPER-heart.

Oh my God. I'd heard that you'd had a bunch of complications, and a while back I went onto facebook to ask to be added to Team Cactus, but I never heard much about it.

I'm really sorry you're having such a rough recovery, and with personal-life suck on top of it.

I am thinking compassionate thoughts for you from here.
