Heart Surgery (index and intro)

Thank you for putting this info where more people can find it. I hope you continue to update, eben if not as immediately as on Fb.

I will. I feel a bit sheepish that I didn't do this sooner, but my focus has been on getting a strong local support structure together, people who can help out during the time when I'll be physically incapacitated to some degree.

But I'll probably be spending more time on-line when I get past the first week or so after surgery, when they send me home.

My experience with any of this is my dad's multiple bypass done... Multiple decades ago. (1995? Maybe 1994)

Regardless of the tech, the biology hasn't likely changed. My first response was going to be, 'take it easy, at first'... And then I remembered... You most likely won't be able to do anything *but* take it easy. If you want/need online chatter/amusement, check for me ... I'm on at random times.

I'm very glad you put all this here because even though we do read each other on Facebook, FB did not deign to show me all of these posts there.

I, too, appreciate knowing what's going on with you. It's been a long time since you've updated here. :)

My mother had somewhat recent heart surgery, this was of the non-chest-cracker sort, and eventually went rather well, and she recovered quite nicely.

Very best of luck to you!

Don't apologize for being a bit sheepish -- sheep are people, too! :-D

At any rate, despite my occasional visit to FB, I didn't notice this until now. Best of luck at getting all the support you need!
