i've just decided that the snews photographers must start their own photo magazine so that we can continue to work together. who's with me? i'm thinking almost exclusively indepth work....photo stories and the like. of course, we'll need a few reporters who love photographers (shannon? emily?). my sister can design it ( Read more... )

i'll get to work on the rich benefactor thing, nothing promising though. but in all seriousness, the mag i work at was founded 25 years ago by a 23-year-old and a few friends she met while waiting tables at a restaurant. and now it's a huge, nationally-distributed glossy.

that's hope, right there.

am i allowed? even though i'm not theoretically still a writer, i do have a lowdown front coming. hah.
also, amy davis and i are discussing a road trip to new orleans during labor day weekend. would that be ok?

everyone is allowed!! (as long as their statenews, anyway). i'm not really sure if my i'll still be doing my internship then, but i'll definitely still be in new orleans. during labor day they have something called southern decadence, and it's basically this huge gay mardi gras. i must see it!! you and amy should see it too!!
