Well...I got fired today. I was fed a cock-and-bullshit story about how the company is restructuring and there's no place for me now...blah, blah, fucking blah (we all know it's because I'm almost 7 months pregnant and they don't want to deal with that). I'm sorry to hear about that. There's no way I could ever fire a pregnant woman, just on principle. (I would have trouble firing anyone.) You do have a pretty good argument for unemployment. If there's any kind of hearing, just show up with a big maternity shirt with the word "baby" and an arrow pointing down. That pretty much says, "I could use the income."

Hi, you don't know me, but I'm a friend of Brian's. I also think you should contact a lawyer, because that's seriously not right. I'd have the ACLU on speed dial, if I were in your shoes.

I don't know if I would bother with a Lawyer right now, you don't need the stress. Take this time to put your feet up and take care of yourself and that baby. You need that more than anything right now.

if they told you you were being let go because of restructuring... it sounds to me more like you got LAID OFF... and you are definitely eligible for unemployment compensation if thats the case. Let me know how it goes.. good luck!
