(This isn't from the website; its what I've semi-read and also figured out..I go on it every single day BUUT it changes every single week so I'm weird like that)

It was started to allow people to share their secrets anonymously. it lets people express their wants/desires/fears etc. without being known. it allows people also to view the same wants/desires/fears etc. Some guy on amazon.com bought the book (YES THERE IS A BOOK!!) and he said he would never have the balls to say out loud what people wrote. so he was really proud of the people.
