Seoul Day 4

Jan 26, 2009 23:28

So today we rose early...ish. ;-) We tried to pay for our DMZ tour, but unfortunately the office was closed for the Lunar New year. Boo, hopefully they won't cancel our reservations and we can pay tommorow. Anyways, after that we went to Insadong for lunch. I had my first Bimibap and we split a bottle of plum wine. Both were awesome! I really liked the cute little bottle that it came in too. After that we went to Changdeokgung palace, which was really pretty and all snow covered. I again took lots of pictures, which will be forth coming. The paint was so bright on the palace sides it almost looked fake.

After Changdeokgung, we went to a coffee shop named "A Twosome Place." For some reason the name was mad entertaining. Then we went down to Jogye temple and took pictures. We felt a little weird snapping too many because there was clearly some worshipping going on, and I didn't want to ruin anyone's zen. Then it was off to Insadong for some serious shopping until we got to frozen and went home. For dinner we grabbed Japanese food around the corner from Layna's house. I'm a little entertained by the fact that no mater what you order anywhere, it comes with Kimchi. Then we went to the NORAEBANG! OMG! Lisa, Layna and our own personal karoke booth! There was serious amounts of fun and serious amounts of busting out to 80's tunes. One question, why the heck don't we have these in the states?!?!?!?!!? We are SOOOOO missing out!
