First cold

Avery (my 3 month old) has gotten her first cold. :( It's not TERRIBLE. She just has a runny nose, a VERY TINY cough, and a stuffy nose. That's it. NO FEVER. Should I take her to the doctor? My mom said they wouldn't give her anything unless she had a fever since she is so young.

Any advice as to what I should do?

call the doc if you are worried but it sounds like a little cold and it shouldnt need any meds. if she gets a fever over 100 i would call the doc for sure.

if her nose gets stuffy, try saline drops and a nose sucker thingy. :)

hope she feels better soon.

thanks. you are the 2nd person to recommend the saline drops. What are those?

basically just purified water in a dropper that you shoot up her nose and it helps the congestion. :)

Try nose drops.
I really don't know what sort of baby medicines and stuff you get over there, but we get Karvol capsules (http://www.mypharmacy.co.uk/medicines/medicines/k/karvol/karvol_capsules.htm), try something like that, or some sort of vapour rub on her chest.
Just plenty of fluids and cuddles and she should be back to normal in a couple of days.
If you think she's getting worse, or she is off her food, do take her to see the doctor.
