I'm looking to start a new LJ account. Not to replace this one, but to suppliment it. Specifically I want to be able to easily share photos and updates on my adventures in China with extended family members, casual aquaintences, floormates, classmates, etc who are interested. But I don't want to give all these people my normal account, not that it'

i´m still fond of the use of obscure references to obscure punchlines from obscure comics. maybe something from indietits? dinosaur comics?

sounds like something like trekshare.com might work better for such purposes...

hmm, thanks for the suggestion. It has lots of pretty pictures. I'm still leaning towards LJ though. What I'm really looking for is the easiest possible thing for me and for anyone reading it. LiveJournal is easy for me because I already know how to use it. I also prefer the way you can view photos. In lj I can just post them in a cut and someone can click on it and see the few pictures I posted. In trekshare it looks like all photos have to be opened in seperate windows. I am actually so lazy that that makes a difference to me. I'm not sure if lj has a limit on how much you can post, but if they do I still can't imagine surpassing it since I don't expect to post too often

certainly good thinking, but keep in mind that lj doesn't store photos except for icons. you'll have to put those somewhere else like photobucket or something
