I got in to a placement @ Monash uni, I really want to accept because its pretty much my dream to do history/archaeology but i dunno if i should defer for this year and finish my other course so i can say i've completed at least one course?! or just go ahead with monash <3

Is what your doing now actually going to help you do anything you want if it's complete? Is it worth adding another year of study/another year before you can get out and do the real stuff you want to be doing?

well the course im doing atm is a pathway into uni. Its a certificate or you can do 2 years and get the diploma but i really think it does help once you've done the 2 years you go into second year uni so it doesn't make much difference since if i go to monash this year i'll be in second year next year anyway so i really don't know what to choose!

Last year in third year, particularly second semester I was completely over undergrad and it became a shit chore even when it was interesting. If it were me I'd want to start at Monash now, but it depends on you and the courses, if there's enough variation between the two you might not get to that stage as quickly.
