It really was hard to pick just one answer. But it's hard to defriend anyone who shares a name that has anything to do with the series...my name's Stephanie, just spelt with an A. xD

Jazz is a perfectly acceptable nickname. If you are a girl. And your name is actually pronounced like that. So if it was for a girl named Jazzper it may have worked. However, that was not the case.

I think towards the middle of the book S.Meyer was getting sick of typing out everyone's names, and Jazz was the first thing to pop into her head.

Um, you realise the nickname "Jazz" has been mentioned in the previous books, yes? I'm not saying that makes it any better (although I don't mind it), just saying...
