Okay, so... I'm getting kind of annoyed with my characterization of Delirium. And clearly I've put way too much energy into thinking about it. Because somehow I produced an essay.
That's the REALLY evil personality! As opposed to the mostly-evil personality and the evil-but-too-lazy-to-show-it personality! 8D
He's got kind of a weird sense of humor, but it doesn't take much to make Il Palazzo be mean. Implying that he's too incompetent to fulfil his goals or gettin' all up in his territory are easy ways to piss him off... actually, mentioning his multiple personalities (which he has managed to keep secret thus far since I'm bad at playing them) will REALLY get him angry.
Also, I'm thinking about it, and really, you can have blanket permission to hop in and screw with my characters at any time. Private posts, ACROSS locks - Del can pop right in and Ilpala won't even notice that she wasn't there to begin with. Excel might, but she's not gonna argue with her lord!
O'course, screwin' up an ACROSS member is like grenadin' a fish in a bucket... but yes, you can feel free to make Il Palazzo more antagonistic/paranoid/dangerous. After it's been a LONG TIME since he snapped and tried to destroy the camp! >D
Hmm, the way I see it is that she appears to people in the same context as their insanity was, if that makes sense. Like, for some people their insanity did require her to be a sparkly dancing fairy. And I do find your Del definitely creepy and disconcerting, but not overtly scary. But what I mean is, she might not be as scary to some people as she is to others because of the nature of their insanity. I hope that makes sense. I ramble.
Also, the reason Ros calls her Miss Delirium is because in her canon, people have names like Mysterious Woman and Hot-Blooded Young Man, based on Classification. (As you may have seen when Simon told her what Del was, she really wasn't aware Del was insanity, she just thought she was another traveller keeping her company)
That's true. About the everyone having a different sort of insanity, and Del appearing differently to each of them. Yes, it makes sense.
Oh, the thing about the names wasn't that I was being bothered by what people called her, it was just that I think I'm telling everyone my name to freely in the first place. But... interesting about your canon? Or, um. Weeeeird. And makes me giggle.
My canon is on crack. We have Apocalypse Goats and Sleazy Toads. Oh, and Flaming Rockmen. Yes. I didn't think you were telling your name too freely! A lot of characters seem to have an idea about the Endless anyway, so I didn't think it was a problem, or something glaringly obvious!
I'd kind of like Fiyero to go crazy, actually. Because he's quite well-adjusted apart from the occasional emo, and getting Deliriumed would rock. Thus! Volunteer over here.
Preferably not happy trippy crazy because I would at some point like the poor thing to be tormented by people who aren't his girlfriend. But, that said, I'm up for pretty much anything that strikes your fancy, and if that involves happy craziness then that will also be wonderful. I'm not sure how to get him to make Del angry, except by arguing and being annoyingly reasonable, but I can tryyyyy...
I don't think she'd attack you for that, though. I might just have to do something so insane and dangerous that everyone yells at me. Like start a yoga circle/army for gorillas. Or light stuff on fire. Or turn all the coffee in camp into panda bears. Or something.
...As for why she'd piss of Del in the first place, well. Rin's easy to piss off, and isn't always the nicest of girls. If she got poked the wrong way (REALLY EASY), she'd probably snarl back a bit. How easy is DEL to piss off?
If you shout at Del, or say she's stupid, or she thinks you're laughing at her, there's a good chance she'll get mad. However, sarcasm is iffy. Sometimes she gets it, sometimes she takes it as sincerity. So... yeah, if Rin snarls at her, consistently, she'll get mad. What flavour of crazy are you up for? Trippy hallucination or something darker?
Of the "Shouting/saying she's stupid/laughing at her" options, Rin'd only do the "shouting" one, but she does it often enough to where it's a definite possibility.
As for the preferred flavour of crazy, well, I'm game for either one-- whichever strikes your fancy at the moment!
Okay, first! Because I couldn't find your initial post on it: Kubota is crazy, but also entirely lucid, so I don't think he's one of Delirium's.
And you have permission to drive him crazy only then he starts shooting people, which ... it would have to be arranged with all players in advance, so let's only do it if there's time or whatever... ...also it might be best to wait until there's a Tokitoh, since Tokitoh is canonically able to pull him from murderous rages, and we'll lower the body count.
