"I'm scared." Annelise admitted with a sighed as she looked over to her twin. She knew her brothers had been lying, she had seen the pained looks over their faces as they had turned thirteen. She was scared of the addiction, of aging, and scared that she'd loose control once she got her power. "I don't want this." She mumbled softly as she shook her head. "I don't want power, I don't want to worry about getting addicted or aging, Aaron." She stated softly as she sat up then, reaching for him and hugging him tightly. "Don't let me go?" She asked softly as she looked to the clock, the digital numbers slipping by slower and slower as it got closer to the time.

Aaron gently pulled her up onto his lap holding her against him and reached over putting the clock face down. "Don't worry about the time, alright? If it hurts just squeeze," he stated softly. He knew she was afraid, because he was just afraid. Afraid for the exact reason she was, their brothers were, their dad had been, and all those before that. He had to admit, before they had reached the actual day, he had just brushed it off as another birthday. Just like when they turned twelve or eleven. He had kept telling himself that it wouldn't hurt and things would be the same. He knew it wasn't true. He also knew that unlike his brothers had or Electra would have, he had someone to go through it with. Someone who was feeling the exact same thing he was. And for a strange reason it brought him comfort. He and his sister had gone through almost everything together and this wasn't going to be any different if he had something to say about it.

Annelise shook slightly in her brother's arms as she nodded. "You do the same, okay?" She stated softly, trying to sound brave but failing to do so. Aaron had always been the brave one out of the both of them, had always protected her. She closed her eyes tightly as she waited for it to come. "Do you think we'll get addicted Aaron?" She asked softly.

Aaron sighed softly, knowing she was trying to be brave. "Okay," he responded, if only to make her feel better. He rested his chin on the top of her head, unintentionally counting the seconds to the best of his ability in his head. He knew it wasn't much longer but it seemed like forever. He could only hope it wouldn't be like that when it started. "No. I don't think so. I think we'll be there for each other to keep it from happening, right?" He responded. Not much time now. He left his eyes fall closed. If he had kept up with time, it was only two more agonizing minutes.

Annelise nodded as she paled slightly, hugging her brother tighter to her as she waited silently, as seconds seemed like minutes, until it finally hit. She cried out as she hugged her brother tightly, shaking as the pain seemed to hit fully force, and she could feel a burning sensation occuring on her lower back. "AARON!" She cried desperately, needing to hear that he was still with her.
