"I figure, if it's safe enough for humans in France, it probably safe enough for dogs in America."

I captioned the middle third of That '70s Show's farewell special last night. It was sweet and interesting and Topher-free. Minimal moments of Ashton Kutcher (yay!), and interviews with Kurtwood Smith & Debra Jo Rupp, a.k.a Red & Kitty (double yay!). I still can't figure out why they added Seth Meyer's terribly unfunny brother to the cast ( Read more... )

To be fair, sometimes she talks about her breasts.

Yay! Shakira! Thanks!

I should just give in and buy her album. I love her! She reads art history books on her tour bus! She's a big ol' geek.

Ah, yes, the boobs get equal attentiuon. Well, if I had her hips & boobs, I'd sing about them, too ;)

I haven't caved & listened to a full Shakira album yet. I've finally gotten over her near-yodelling (thanks for that phobia, Jewel!). Didn't know that she's a big geek, though. Hmm, that just might sway me...

Oh sure, she's even good buddies with Gabriel Garcia Marquez, she gives him backstage passes!

Also, I have listened to that song a good eleventy billion times since you sent it. I can't explain the attraction, but if it were possible, I would have sex with "Hips Like This."

Furthermore, I meant to say: Aw, I like the other Meyer brother, he was kinda funny on Mad TV (although I hate hate hate That 70's Show, so I'm sure it sucks with or without his contributions)

And even furthermore, being that you're my source of celebrity gossip: you said Barry Watson was sick? What was wrong with him?

OMG, she's like every boy's dream: the hot geek girl. What's weird about that song is, it seems more like Wyclef's than Shakira's. I'd love to have her teach me to belly dance. Not sure if she can belly dance, but it'd probably be fun ;)

Yeah, he was okay on Mad TV, but he's just annoying on '70s. They practically forced Donna to hook up with his character when Eric left for Africa. (I know more about this show than I should.) Seth Meyers makes me miss Ashton, which means he's pretty bad ;)

Barry Watson left 7th Heaven because he had Hodgkin's disease. But he beat it a few years ago. He doesn't really look that different, maybe a little around the eyes. (Could be age, though.) He's been writing, so it's hard to find pics of him between 2003 and now.

Ugh, that sucks about the preemption! I think NYC is getting screwed, too. Minus the lube.

So That '70s Show is *finally* ending? Man, it's about time. I stopped watching years ago.

Those tough New Yorkers can take a lubeless screwing. We're daintier out west ;) At least UPN's airing VMars within a few hours, unlike The WB's making me wait a day for TVBFs.

I'll watch That '70s Show in syndication sometimes, but haven't watched new eps in a few years. (Minus the 2 or 3 I captioned.) And though it pains me to admit this, the show's not as funny without Ashton Kutcher. But the farewell special is pretty good so far.

BTW, I saw your happy summer movie poll. I'm trying to narrow my list down to 2 before commeting :)

"Hell froze over."
Bwahahahaha... I feel your pain. But you're still one of the funniest people I've never met!

Thanks! See, you totally understand my pain of sports clashing with must see t.v.! If it were my Kings* & the Spurs, I'd be all, "Hell, no! Delay those shows!" But it's the freaking Clippers and Tigers. Seriously, WTF? BTW, the earth moved a little when the Clippers accepted late-comers aboard their bandwagon.

* I know I bitched about him, but I'm starting to accept Ron Artest. And now I'm pissed about his suspension. It's not like they consider Sprewell's "incident" or the charges brought against Kobe when doling out suspensions. Then again, when was the last time Kobe got punished for anything?

I. Hate. Kobe.

Punished? His parents should be punished for naming him after Japanese beef, even if it is the most expensive beef on the planet. *g*

Man, I won't get started on my normal Kobe rant, but I have to say this:

Despite what he wants people to believe, he never had it hard growing up. He lived in a wealthy neighborhood near Philly (in Buck's County, right?). He traveled to Europe all the time. He attended private schools. He's an only child. What's rough about that childhood?

Also, my boys almost pulled it off, even without Artest.

I like that brat song, too, and am faced with the same confusion over reasoning.

Yeah, I don't have much else to add. My TVBFs wasn't delayed for me last week. Was I just lucky?

Yeah, there's not one thing in particular that I like about that song. Although, it kind of reminds me of Spike killing Principal Wood's mom on the subway. And wow, that's probably the weirdest song association I've ever had.

TVBFs were on time last week, but this Thursday's eps are bumped back to Friday for a meaningless baseball game. I think The CW will stay on The WB's affliate, so it shouldn't happen next season. Otherwise, I'll have to mvoe to Vancouver to stalk watch them.

BTW, I keep forgetting to ask... do I really need a passport to enter Canada? Mine has long expired & I haven't flown outside the States since high school.

O_o That certainly caught my eyes! Where show/movie is that from? That 70s show?

Thanks for the songs! I'm curious to hear what Shakira has to say about her hips actually lol! ;)

Hee! Actually, it's from King of the Hill. I was watching the ep where Hank considers fertility drugs for his dog (it's a long story), and that line came up while I was typing. As for '70s, they're coveirng the outtakes & sight gags right now, so no inspiring lines yet ;)

You're welcome! I'm not sure if I'm a Shakira fan yet, though I like her voice. I've been told she's a little geeky, so I'll probably adore her soon enough.
