I used to be fluent in French, now I can just get by. I might be able to help?

I haven't been able to get back into BB7, it's been weeks since I tuned in...

Gah, thank god we got a script yesterday. The audio sounded like "jolie vais fu fumer," and the actor's voice is deep (it's Jerry from E.R.) so it was hard to pick up syllables.

Guess what he was really saying: Jolivet Pouilly-Fume. Yeah, like anyone in the office was going to get that from the audio ;) Plus, the joke itself is so obvious that using that particular wine came off as pretentious ( ... )

Oh, it sounds like things are heating up, in both houses. Howie fighting with Marcellas? Not cool.

Oh Jerry from ER? What is it you were capping? And how long does it usually take to get a script when you request one?

'Men in Trees' sounds like supreme suckage... is it?

I know a bit about wine, having worked with a kid whose dad is a wine consultant/writer... if I can help, just ask. I can always call the Wine Guy, if need be!

I think I'll have to lock all ABC-related posts, but I'm lazy so I'll dish a little right here ;)

MiT just takes so long to set up. I mean, if you've seen the promos, you know that Anne Heche stays in Alaska. But the ep doesn't reveal it until the final act. It's not the suckiest thing I've ever worked on, but it feels more like a network presentation than a pilot. If you've seen Northern Exposure or Doc Hollywood, you know what will happen.

James Mangold (Walk the Line) directed the pilot & it looks good, though I want to slap the editors. But I already hate the "lovable local doofus" character (Patrick). The "hot local guy" looks like the love child of Heath Ledger & Matthew McConaughy, though I know he'll be dubbed Poor Man's McDreamy. Plus, watching Anne "Fuck My Way to Stardom" Heche -- didn't she claim her stint as a lesbian was due to confusion? -- as a relatipnship coach is itself a joke ( ... )
