Dec 1st, we played at the Hoople House in Fort Myers. A young man with an acoustic guitar opened the show with an ernest and endearing set. Then we played, we were pumped and had a good time with it. Fake Problems then proceeded to rock the house and we were honored with a closing set by Jiyuna, who were so amazing and kind and gracious. We love those guys! It was a fun night, there was skateboarding, rolling in a huge metal round thing, and plenty of antics. New friends were made, it was a good night. After the show we went to Naples and partied with FP, where they passed out on us one by one due to the partying.
Dec 2nd, Skatepark of Tampa!! Always a good time at this place, we always make at least a few new friends and of course Tom & Arik skate their butts off. The FP boys again rocked the house and skated the house down, too. Worldwide Zoo played with us, they were a lot of fun. Amanda was there, we stayed at her place and partied with her the next day... We made a friend named Jesse who came to see us again on the 3rd....
Dec 3rd, We partied with Amanda all day, first we played Tetris for hours, then we went out to look for tattoo places but found a crazy parade and caught a bunch of beads (we left them in Amanda's car!).
we got added onto this crazy show at the Pegasus last minute styles. We got there pretty late and missed FP's set, but they were pretty sweaty so we're assuming rockage again. My Pet Monzter played while a guy in a giant bear costume danced and sword fought with the crowd. They were really nice guys and they stuck around to see us play next. We did a good set and everyone seemed to have a great time. Jesse came out again and we ended up staying with him. He's a great guy and we're really glad we met him.
Dec 4th, best Athens show we've had so far. Patrick from Poison Control Center did a wonderful set, complete with backflips on the floor (more like backrolls) and sing-alongs. And everyone actually sang along! Good times. We felt really good about how we played, it was fun and people were dancing and bobbing their heads. Then Casper and the Cookies took it home with an amazing set. They are really skilled and sound kind of like a mixture between Of Montreal and the B-52's. Good stuff. We saw our good buddy Jeff, always a happy time, but he was too tired to come and get delicious tacos with us the next morning. We talked to Mike from HHBTM (
http://www.hhbtm.com) and it's looking good. If all goes according to plan, we'll be releasing our next album through him in May, then do a huge tour, then ...dundundun... move to Athens. Exciting. We'll always come back to the 305 and we'll always be from Florida, though. <3
Dec 5th, we were supposed to play at Daniel's house but problems with the cops deleted that option. So the show got moved to the Inn Between. It was a fun, crazy time... GWAR was playing at the club next door to us!! Fucking nuts. Lots of people who were waiting for Gwar to start were hanging out at the Inn Between, it was fun. We had a great crowd when we played, lots of moving and shaking and the FP boys pumped us up by screaming along to all our songs. When they played, there was again lots of moving and shaking and singing along. They played a great set, everyone loved it. The Terrordactyls were kind enough to lend us their bass drum and rock the house, the singer of the last band, I think it was called Cheetah Switchblade, came outside and threw up in the middle of their set only to run back in and keep singing. Punk as fuck.
Unfortunately Sebastion didn't get added onto the show, but fortunately, we got to hang with him at Subway and then later at his house since Adrian fell asleep. Amanda told me a fish joke and we agreed to mention each other in our respective online journals. She was hanging with the FP boys so we saw her a couple more times and hung with her at Subway later. FP slept in the lobby of her residence hall. Susie came to see us play even though she had a 10 page paper to write and a bazillion other things to do. We got to see Susie and Sebastian recording some of their drum stuff when they were about to leave for a dress rehearsal for their drumming interpretive dance thing. We really wanted to go watch but Oscar Loo called us up in good spirits for his birthday and told us to get our butts home and celebrate with him. We had to oblige! Happy Birthday Oscar!!

The whole thing felt so much longer than it was. We had a really great time, this little trip just reinforces our love for touring even more. Meeting so many great people and being part of so many great adventures is really the best part about being in a band and travelling around.
