There was this one day during elementary school where my mom came to say hello to me.

I was so embarrassed. How could she do this to me?

I ignored her, threw her a hateful look and ran out.

The next day at school one of ( Read more... )

i read this story a while back. If I were the mother, i'd slap the child silly from the start.

I have also read this story a while back and I decided to post it cos of the message it carries.

Some mothers are just that giving. I would have told the child right from the start about how his perfect sight came about.

Awww... dat really tugs at one's heart strings doesn't it. Da story does speaks a lot about today's kids doesn't it? Da part about asking and demanding and taking one's parents for granted...

Btw, for a moment just a week ago, little gecko tot babychen deleted his own blog liao. Ya did delete it, rite?? :o

there's another one i heard on radio.

regarding this boy who always demanded rewards and incentives whenever he was requested to do something for someone.

One day he approached his mum and shoved a piece of paper with badly scribbled words on it.
The mum took it and read aloud :
taking out the trash last tuesday - $2
sweeping the floor this morning - $4
helping to buy groceries on two days last week - $15
watering the plants every other day -$20

Without saying a word, she flipped the piece of paper and started writing.
She then passed the piece of paper back to the son who started reading :

Carrying you in my womb for 9 months - FREE
Piggy back you to the doc when u were sick all these years - FREE
The clothes and food i've provided to you - FREE
All the love i have showered on u unconditionally - FREE

The son just tore the piece of paper away and hugged her :
" I love you mum... Sorrie.... "
