I'm just intensely grateful, that for Clark's moral state, he told her the truth. As for their friendship, if Chloe can work through how that changes her faith in him, her trust. In the long run, the fact that he's chosen to be completely honest with her, will do a lot to building their relationship to something stronger. Great update.

“OMG! Once more I was so happy to find out you updated this most difficult of stories...”
I knew you’d be pleased. :-)
“And then... what a heartbreaking roller-coaster this chapter is. You're doing such an amazing job keeping this so real with all the confusing emotions of the characters: wanting everything to be okay again and knowing it never will.”
Despite how bleak things look, I’m still very much on course to fixing this mess. It’ll take a while, but I’m determined to mend my favourite ship, despite the absolute mess they’re in right now. :-)
“And what a horrible decision for Clark, knowing that he'd already hurt her in the worst way and now to make the choice of hurting her again; in a place where he could have been safe: maily her faith in him. To have to shatter that...”
...probably hurt him most of all. And as you shall see later on, his decision to tell the truth is going to have serious repercussions (even though I hope it will be a major factor in his redemption)
“The last section brought me to tears, somehow
( ... )
“Clark wanting to hurt her - how can they recover from that? I don't know if it's possible.”
I don’t know either, but I do have a plan. Fingers crossed it’s the right one!
“You pull no punches, Dee! This is a wonderful fic and I WANT MORE SOON!”
Your cries have been heard, Iolanthealias. I’ve been on a bit of a roll with this story, so you should have about 4-5 chapters ready and waiting for ya. I hope you enjoy all of them!
Thanks so much for your lovely comments, hun. I really appreciate it! :-D

Well spotted, Kim. It stings like crazy now, that’s for sure; but when the full picture *eventually* comes to light, it will work in his favour.
Alas, that moment is a long way away. :-(
Thanks for your lovely comments, as always! :-)
