Such a great chapter! Love how you delicately handled this important conversation. I can't help but feel sorry for the both of them. Courage and determination shown on both their parts while trying to help and save the other despite the wounds they inflicted upon each other. Classic Chlark in a nutshell.
Oh, nice chapter. At first I thought there was no way for Chlark to get back their friendship but I think you've managed to bring them both to a place so the can find their way back.
Good for Chloe for telling Clark about the deal with Lionel and for encouraging him to get help for his anger and resentment. And I also like that Chloe realizes that Clark doesn't need prison to atone for what he's done but continuing to help people and saving lives is the best form of amendment he can do.
Aha, so we start to see a way out of this. Clark is determined to do the right thing now, but what is the right thing given all the special circumstances. Chloe is right - Clark being in jail just means a lot of Smallville natives, mostly their class mates, are going to die - that's an inescapable fact. And she's doubly right that Clark needs help with his anger issues - but who can be trusted to help him? Can't wait to see where this goes next!
