I say screw the system. If I were gay, and if I were engaged, I'd plan the damn wedding and have it already. Otherwise, who knows how long it could be put off?
Or hey, there's also the possibility of doing it in a place where it's already legal, like Hawaii or Vermont, or Massachussetts. (Did I spell that right? Probably not. Oh well.)
At the very least, I'd do a civil union but still get all dressed up for it, and treat it like a wedding.
It's sort of like my friend Gilmer told me once: "If everybody waited until just the right time to get married, then NOBODY would get married." So I say, why put off being happy?
id have the ceremony anyway cause u luv each other and the way things r lookin wit our dumbass president it will never b legal which is bullshit cause its a way of tow ppl sharing there luv wit there luv 1's n the form of a ceremony so just do it and i like dat u dreamed about me dats awesome
