I don't like to use my neighbors' trash cans because I consider it a form of stealing, but I'll do it if my dog's digestive tract demands it. That's how I came to be at the bank of cans outside the apartment building near my house, and that's how I ran across this time-capsule in the form of a briefcase on the lid of a brown-bin.

That's actually really cool. I particularly love that somebody kept it for all these years, finally got it together to just throw it all away...and now you've rescued it, and you'll keep it for years, fill it with your junk...and one day you should throw it away somewhere that someone will pick it up...maybe it'll just pass on and on and on. :)

wow, that's so cool! Once I found a great 1970's cookbook (still use it), several hand-printed photographs, and a mysterious Polaroid. Lots of fun.

used stuff has much higher karmic and entertainment value. Most of my books now are used, and often they have unique interesting character vs standard clean bulk books.
