Merrill and I first tried raclette while having dinner at our friends' place sometime last year and we loved it so we decided we needed to get our own set. It's something that's so simple to prepare but yet taste so good, perfect for dinner parties. I just ordered this from the UK, can't wait for it to arrive. :)

Is that like Korean BBQ that run in those disposable gas cans??! I want a korean BBQ set! They are so much fun and so yummy too! :D

Raclette is actually quite different from Korean BBQ. Although you can use the hot stone to cook food as well, traditionally raclette is just melted raclette cheese on top of potatoes and dried/cured meat. I think wikipedia can probably explain it better than I can. :)

awww thanks! Ive never heard of it! looks and sounds good... should try find a restaurant that does it, but doubt we'd have one in Wellington :P
