I don't believe in having close friendships with people anymore. It's not a trust issue that I'm having, it's more of a resignation to the fact that I am unreliable, so why should I expect someone else to be there for me? Doesn't work that way. I just don't think people have the capacity to be in honest and genuinely loving relationships.

What a bad way to push Christianity. Just because I want distance from people does not necessarily mean I am creating distance from God. In fact, it's just the opposite. I'm hoping to stop making people the pillar of my life in order to accomplish affinity with Him.

I really haven't had enough of THAT in my life.

Not at all what I was trying to say. I just know that when I chose to stop trusting those who hurt me, it got a lot harder to be close to people, and I'm convinced we're on earth in order to be relational. Going to lifechange helped me dig though that and learn why I was taking those actions, and what I could do about them.

I made the comment because I thought it could potentially give you a tool that would make you happier. You don't seem very happy.
