oh, celebrities.

I'm going to get hell for this I know, I probably shouldn't even say anything.

But seriously?!Joy, I love you, but ppl impersonating celebrities on the Internet has always and will always happen. People have pea-sized brains. It's fine to say you don't personally have a FB, in fact you should say it so that ppl don't buy the other pages, but ( Read more... )

I think the problem with Joy was that the fake profile had some private pictures of her that they keep posting. On the Everly page they linked to the direct profile and not just the many there are, but idk?

right I do remember that. I'd be pissed too. But at the same time its like, unless its a family/friend with the fake profile (which its not) then that means the only way said person got these pictures was from Joy posting them herself, probably on her own FB that she did have at one point. It's really no surprise that people hacked into it, as a celebrity you should be smarter. But yeah I understand her not wanting it there. I guess my thing is more that even if all the current fake profiles go away more will pop up yknow?! It's just the nature of crazy people impersonating celebrities. But you know, no big deal either way. Us regular people really don't appreciate the pros of NOT being a celebrity and not having to deal with this stuff enough LOL

The funny thing is Joie really did use to have a facebook. Her whole family is on there and she had one too but has since deleted it. Thats why I always crack up when she gets all butt hurt about facebook.

LOL that too. I'm like dude, as a celebrity, you should know about this thing called hackers. Sucks but as a celebrity you cannot put anything on the internet if you don't want anyone to know/see. Hell, even as a non-celebrity you shouldn't.

I think she probably doesn't want her fans being tricked or anything.
Plus, I think one of them had personal pictures or something?

Yeah which is why I think it is good for her to say "hey I don't have facebook". She had one before though - which is how the personal pictures got out in the first place - as a celeb she should have known better to ever put one up in the first place, which is why I feel its kind of silly to tell her fans to play police patrol and report this person, cuz even if this particular impersonation page comes down others will pop up - nature of being a celebrity.
