*slow clap*

I really can't even come close to telling you how amazingly said this all is. Except to say I love you.

Word on that. It baffles my mind how people can be so narrow minded and stupid about the whole thing. I don't see what marriage has to do with sexuality. I think it's time the world comes to terms and accepts it for what it is, a union of two people who love each other. It shouldn't have to be voted on, it shouldn't have to be legal...it should just be. I don't see why straight couples should have anymore rights than anyone else.

You put it all so well though, seriously.

I hope that there is a positive result though!

I literally couldn't agree more if I tried...

However...

I hold out little hope of an Irish government making anything resembling an open minded decision :(

My daughter and I went to observe the debate in the NY Senate over the same issue. We missed the vote but went to show our support for those that would change the law to allow same sex civil unions. Daughter was very disappointed at the outcome, as was I.

I completely agree with what you said and feel the exact same way, except we have Civil Partnerships and I'm happy we do, but I want to be married and have the exact same rights as a hetero couple. Hopefully by the time I find my woman this will have happened *has hope*

It's insanity...
