*munly journal*

I have a pup I'd like to bring in, but he has a familiar, would the familiar be allowed in? She's not that powerful or anything, she just teleports, and helps his connection to the animals.

As long as it's either touching the character when the Wood grabs them, or it's important enough to the character (like a daemon or a... something else very important) that leaving it behind would be a very bad thing, it should be fine.

Okay, so I have ANOTHER question about Vanyel. Whoo.

It regards Yfandes. She's nowhere near him when he comes to the Wood, but it would be pretty bad if their bond was just broken. He would probably be a little nuts. Or more than a little. I'm not sure I want to play her, though, because she is a fully separate character from Van and not just an attachment.

So, uh, would it work to leave the bond intact but not really sending or receiving anything concrete, just having it there?

Yes, that would be fine. The Wood doesn't want Vanyel that broken anymore than you do - he's not really useful to the Wood that way. XD

So the bond will be intact, but Vanyel won't be able to sense anything from it except that it still exists.

Another daft question about magic -

I'm playing around with a WoW OC, buuut she's a mage, the 'arcane douchebag' class of the Warcraft universe. The source of magic for Warcraft arcanists is basically explained as 'once upon a time people drew power from a magic pond, then the magic pond got wrecked up, now the magic is everywhere'. So what I'm asking is, this being a character who draws her power from the magic inherent to her world, will she be theoretically able to use the magic inherent to the Wood for her magery?

(...I appreciate that in practice this might mean a lot of shit going wrong or blowing up hideously in her face.)

For the most part, magic that's capable of being used in the Wood should be inherent magic- magic that requires no outside source. However, if your character is capable of drawing magic from any major source of magic, then we're okay with them trying and... Having it go disastrously wrong more often than not, because she's incompatible with the Wood's brand of magic.

This may be somewhere on here, so forgive me if I'm asking a question you've already answered on the journal. I looked... but sometimes I miss things.

If someone apps a character I would like to app, but gets rejected, how long would I have to wait until I would be able to app? Is there a set time period, or as soon as the rejection is issued I would be able to?

If someone apps a character you want and is rejected, you must wait one week before posting your application.

There is definitely no judgement of anime fandoms or characters here! I'm not personally familiar with a lot of anime characters, but the other two mods definitely are and have played some before in other games.

How well your character fits in the game is obviously going to depend on the specific character, but they're definitely not going to be shunned because they're not a live-action or book character.
