Considering apping here in a few weeks... i.e. next round, since this one just closed.
Character: October "Toby" Daye
Fandom: The Toby Daye books by, um. Seanan McGuire.
Why do you want this character?: It's a sarcastic changeling who can't help being a hero? She's Seanan's creation? So playing her in this game would be...awesome, really. Also I've been looking for somewhere small to play her since I've been dinking around in museboxes with her for a while now. Plus the fourth book came out a little while ago and the muse is *so* not going away after... all that.
Concerns?:
- Fae magic Toby is uh. Well. Gosh, spoilers, anyway, avoiding those, she has magic. It is fae magic. She *is* fae. However, the fae here are slightly different, though I'm guessing there'd be a fair few similarities in the way things work ( ... )

Toby's magic should be okay here - it's a little similar to the local fae's magic, but not enough to cause problems, and as Toby doesn't have any ties to Babylon Wood, I can't see it causing any problems.
Canon points on the verge of death, or where a different decision would result in death are totally acceptable (...I have three characters in the game where that applies in one way or another, so... yes XD ( ... )

Character: Captain James Hook
Fandom: Peter Pan (mix of 2003 movie and original book, but call it the former)
Why do you want this character?: This is a muse that I've just picked up, and have been enjoying writing his voice. Been choosy about finding a game and this one seems to have the pacing and feel that might be good, though am in no real rush. Umm. For those who aren't that familiar with Peter Pan beyond the Disney film (hhhrr we shall talk no more of it) or otherwise, this Captain Hook (inspired by the more recent film, which is in turn inspired from Barrie's story) is pretty villainous, but does have some comedic and terribly dramatic tendencies about him, as well as depth of emotion and flaw.
IT COULD BE FUN, I THINK. And also, you have fairies. Hook knows all about them. (Or does he.)
Concerns?: He is a veellain, but then, his rage is most directed at Peter Pan. That just leaves the 'ruthless wicked pirate of the seas' part. Maybe this is a concern. Maybe it isn't! I am interested in hearing thoughts, either ( ... )
