Murphy stands out in front of the barracks' open gates, turning Fidelacchius over in her hands as she looks out at the woods. She's just finished
putting out a call to potential first responders - and yelling at certain parties for being massive fricking idiots. Now all that's left is to wait until people show up. If they show up.
The fact that she needs to wait for people to show is the only thing keeping her from plunging into those woods and hunting the castle and the Doctor down. Never mind the fact that she's wondering what the hell possessed her to let Alec stay behind.
Meanwhile, in that castle, Bela Talbot is settling in. The accommodations may not be normal, or even trustworthy, but they're still a step up from the filthy barracks. If she's going to be free of hell, she's going to enjoy it. However brief the excursion might be.
At the moment she's on a veranda with an empty fountain, overlooking a fissure-like valley that cuts into the wall of the mountains. She settles her hands around the hot cup of something that she can almost believe is coffee.
"Take a step back three months and tell me I'll eventually be here," she murmurs to no one in particular. "...A fairy castle in a magical wood."
She snorts, a bit indelicate, and takes another sip. "Oh, surely."
