It could be here - it's your new frontier...

Georgia has been trying to keep off the ankle she twisted her first night here. Today, she finally got claustrophobic and fed up with holing up in the cabin with Shaun - even if it is arguably the most secure building here, and that's just sad - and decided to explore the barracks ( Read more... )

Shaun is trying to give George her space, since he can tell she's been feeling cramped and crowded. Now that she's up on the top of the wall, he's staying down on the ground, with a lot of work, eyes locked on her as she surveys the wood and the barracks.

He ends up stopping just near Emily's cabin, though he doesn't notice he's standing near her. He's far too nervously intent on watching George, like he's afraid she's going to fall off the wall. Which, granted, is a fair concern, with her turned ankle.

Please, Emily, for the love of god, DISTRACT HIM.

Emily looks up at Shaun, studying for a moment while he's distracted and obviously oblivious to her presence. Finally, she smiles a little, pushes herself to her feet, and walks over to stand beside him.

"I know the wall looks pretty scary, but I promise it's harder to fall off than you'd think."

Shaun glances over at Emily, which is a feat in and of itself, and smiles faintly at her. "I know," he says, fighting the urge to look back at George - she's got a good set of lungs, if anything happens. "Can't help it, though. I missed her."

He gives in and looks back up at her, his mouth quirking in that smile that's only George's. It's comforting, having the center of his universe back where she belongs, even if they're in an unsecured place with no internet.

"I know how you feel." Emily studies the girl on the wall for a moment longer, fighting down another wave of unease and worry about Hotch, Reid, JJ. Under the circumstances, she can't blame Shaun even a little for not wanting to let his sister out of his sight. Maybe if she'd stuck closer to the rest of the team...

She glances back to Shaun, and raises her eyebrows. "How is she? I mean... How's she handling all of this?" It seems a little tactless to ask 'does she know she's dead?', but it's a valid concern. Emily's sure as hell not going to bring it up, but she is worried - about how Shaun's taking it, if nothing else.

Kate approached Reid's cabin. She hadn't seen him in several days, and she was starting to worry a bit. She finally decided she'd check in on him and see how her friend was doing.

She'd met the brunette - Prentiss - a couple times, but she'd never seen her look so troubled. Kate eyed Reid's cabin, but it was obvious no one was there. She then approached Prentiss.

"Hi, I'm Kate Beckett. We've met a few times before. I was looking for Reid. Have you seen him?"

Prentiss looks up, and forces a little smile, folded hands still held under her chin. The smile quickly fades at Beckett's comment about not having seen Reid either. "Uh... no. Not for a couple days, actually. I was just starting to worry..."

And now she's even more worried. Reid's probably the last person she'd want to be lost in the woods, with the monsters and the fae. Even if he's got Hotch or JJ with him...

Kate looks around, as if expecting Reid to walk up at any moment. Then she looks down at Prentiss, a frown on her face. In her worry, she unconsciously goes into cop mode.

"He didn't mention going anywhere? When was the last time you saw him? We need to determine where to start looking for him."

"No, he didn't. And the last time I saw him was before the Carnival. Here, in the barracks." Prentiss smiles, a little tiredly, and pushes herself to her feet with a sigh. "I get it. If I knew the first place to start, I'd be tearing apart this forest to find him. But... sometimes people just disappear around here. Maybe the fairies take them, or maybe they just go back home, but..."

She shakes her head a little, jaw tight with fear and worry. "I think maybe our best shot is to find one of the locals to ask. If they'll talk to us."
