So Im watching this segment on the news about osteoarthritis...and as someone who has arthritis (left hand. the joys of having Ulcerative Colitis)...I was curious to see this so called new treatment. What is this new treatment? LEECHES!!! Blood sucking leeches!! They put leeches on whatever area it is that has arthritis and they leave them there ( Read more... )

No it wasnt an infomercial! It was real news...they talked about it right before they talked about Sheryl Crow having breast cancer!!

OMG I totally remember that part in Stand By Me. And I remember that one time when I was playing outside (not long after I saw that movie)...there was a leech on my foot. Really nasty.

Hahaha it must be the month for bizarre cures for IBD.

Yesterday I discovered that they're researching the effects of Viagra as a treatment for Crohns!!! ;)

OMG I read that about Viagra!!! I swear these people come up with the craziest things EVER for these illnesses.

And I thought using the nicotine patch for colitis was a crazy one...
