The boy is walking. Or at least he's working very hard on walking. He took a couple steps yesterday and just a minute ago, he took some more (two steps twice).

His motivation: getting to my cell phone. :oP So much for, "come to mommy."

Fortunately, he's only taken a couple of steps so far. So, I'm still in the clear for a little while. We're not "practicing." We're just letting him figure it out. Hopefully it'll take him a little while.

Thank goodness we ordered the cabinet locks. :oP

Yeah, we put up the cabinet locks and outlet covers awhile ago. We need to find a good gate for the stairs still.

Good luck! I wished and wished for Thatcher to start walking and as soon as he did I begged for him to stop!

I haven't been wishing at all. My friend's baby (who is six months older than Ryan) started walking and I saw how much she had to chase her around. So I know we're in for it.

I was especially unlucky...Thatcher took steps at 8 months and was fully walking at 9 months. But I was the same way, so I should have suspected he might!
