I said I want Katharine to win, and I want to explain why.
I say Katharine should win because I almost feel that Taylor will do better not to win, just like Chris. Taylor and Chris were my absolute favorites from the beginning, but it was because they had amazing, unique voices (okay, so Chris's isn't terribly unique, but...it's pretty awesome). And I feel that if Taylor wins the competition, then he has to record an album using Simon Cowell's resources, and only those. He has little to no creative control. And Taylor's creativity and spirit are what make him who he is. I feel that by him winning, he'll be forced to conform to a certain image because he's basically a puppet of Simon and the record company.
And okay, so Katharine is annoying. But so is Kelly Clarkson. And Rueben and Fantasia aren't even around. And Carrie's only big in country. So honestly, I think being runner-up is almost better for Taylor.
I totally agree. I really do. I kind of don't want either of them to win because A) don't like Katharine and b) don't want Taylor to be all that you mentioned.
My only other thing though is I said the same about Bo Bice and where is he now? He featured as an independent, up-and-coming artist on one of the radio stations here, appeared Jay Leno months ago and then butchered his own song on the show that made him famous. Yeah, that sucks.
