Aizawa and Shiraishi clash? They did have trouble getting along in the first season before they each respected each other, but Shiraishi usually kept quiet/silently follows about how Aizawa does things rather than argue with him head on like Hiyama did.

So seeing them clash will be interesting to see. Although I hope they make up by the end of the episode coz their calm conversations were always nice to watch.

I agree. I think they struggled the 1st ep -- to put up the conflict of gathering everyone again in lifesaving. But now that it's been crossed, it'll be more interesting as they take on their 'new' roles. I'm excited (as always haha)

Thanks for the trans! Seems interesting! I don't think or remembered Aizawa ever clashing with Shiraishi verbally. From what I can tell from the preview, Aizawa seems more like Kuroda sensei. Aww now I miss his "sono toori da".
The trainees are so ugh =.=, even the 5 of them when they started were better than that. I guess that's realistic in a way too?
I'm curious to hear about your thoughts on epi 1. I may have tried to lower my expectation so that I don't get too disappointed, but I also can't help it when the previous seasons were so good.
anyway, can't wait for episode 2!

My thoughts on Ep1 is varied haha. The first half was literally a struggle - both for lifesaving and the ep itself. Like I mentioned in the comment above, they pushed that conflict of having the main 5 taking different paths so they can be brought together. And that's where you see that the heart of Code Blue is them. Lifesaving isn't the same when they aren't together. Somehow I cried when Aizawa said I get it, I'm going there and he ran towards the heli. And we, the viewers, the fans, were like Hiyama - if you're coming you should have done it sooner. *cries* aren't they the best?? And after that, didn't that part got the highest viewer ratings ( ... )

I think many people has a problem and feel the rush towards the gathering of everyone back to the team. Some think that it was so sudden for Tachibana-sensei to suddenly ask Aizawa to be back in the team out of the blue. Personally, I think the whole-asking-Aizawa-to-be-back happened way way before that scene -- after all, Hiyama is back (it must take sometime) and at that time, Tachibana must has implied to Aizawa about the request before and he just ask him again out loud in front of everyone at that time. I'm gonna miss Aizawa's black uniform tho.

I'm happy that Fujikawa and Haruka is together (I was hoping for Aizawa to be married with kids after 10 years but it didnt happen :P) and pregnant (the scene where he is coming back home and having Haruka in the room make me go O_o and I knew he gonna find her pregnant when he accidentally dropped her bag lol) but it seemed like she is thinking of not having the baby? You know how hardcore she is with work so she must having that dilemma...

Yes, I think the "problem" with the first half was more on the...editing? Or maybe on how they tried to fit everything for the 1st episode. It seems A LOT has been edited out...we didn't see Hiyama anymore in that pink scrubs as an obstetrician & gynecologist (or did they just shot that for the previews?) and yes, having Hiyama back took time. It was only mentioned that Mitsui-sensei had to lower her head to Hiyama for her to come back and of course Hiyama couldn't say no.

Oohhh that's a good theory about Saejima. I remember she wanted to talk to Fujikawa in the staff area about something important but then Hiyama and Shiraishi came that she couldn't talk anymore then she disappeared. I just hope it's not a difficult pregnancy or something! It's enough we have to deal with Tachibana & Mitsui's son :(

Thank you for the translation! Can't wait for episode 2 next week.

By the way, do you mind translating the wish that Shiraishi wrote on the tree in episode 1?

Ah yes, Shiraishi's wish:

"Make a lifesaving that will surpass Kuroda-sensei's lifesaving. I'll definitely do it! With everyone!!"
