I don't remember that at all, but I'm assuming the guy would be Curtis Shaller if that helps narrow it down?

I don't remember that at all. With all the fuss there was about the "Tell him he's adopted" line in one of the Little Sister books I'm sure I would have seen it mentioned somewhere.

I don't recall that, but it's been awhile since I've reread the series - though I think I remember it the other way, Jessi wasn't going to go, but then got asked. I'll have to go through my books and find this!!!
