I have always been enamoured by my mother's vast collection of artifacts and antiques. She has little caches of them stashed all over the place; between her home, my garage and the basement of my brother's house. The woman who wrote this note was named Martha; this book belonged to her. However she would be my great, great grandmother (I think) not my great grandmother... I don't have my family tree memorized past my great-grandparents, so I'm not positive about her place in the line but the timing is about right. :)

I totally share all those views in regards to antiques. All those sentaments are exactly the same as mine - the reasons why I love hearing, reading and feeling ancient artafacts so much.
wow, that's amazing you all have so so many things from the past. I'd be chilled too upon finding that note; that's amazing! :)
