While the weeks since her dreamscape trip to Japan had generally given the island a happier, calmer O-Ren, the days since the Halloween party had returned to her to a silent, almost taciturn state. Angua had noticed the change. O-Ren hadn't said what was bothering her, but Angua hoped she'd open up if given a little time. Until then, she could at least do her best to cheer O-Ren up.

She knocked on O-Ren's bedroom door, after a soft snuffle from Black Dog telling her the younger girl was inside.

"O-Ren? Would you like to come have lunch with Dean and I? I brought home some sushi from the Winchester..."

"And I brought home real food!" Dean shouted from the living room, unbundling a cloth at the table. "Big ol' hunk of boar!"

It was more the idea of the company than the idea of the hunk of boar that moved her, but O-Ren gave her ceiling one last morose stare and sat up. She shuffled more than she fluttered into the main room, but she attempted a smile for the both of them.

"Thank you."

Angua rolled her eyes and joined Dean at the table, nudging a chair out for O-Ren.

"I think this means Dean should serve us," she said, sitting down. "Since he has the real food."
