I kinda followed this program but totally not hard core. And my son sleep though the night when he got on his own feeding time. I did not force it. He was sleeping thought the night at 2 months and I feed him like crazy all day. and it worked for me and him and also to 6 of my girlfreinds with babies. I really don't agree with his ideas...He is being investagated and is being sued by a lot of parents for not really knowing his stuff and etc.....there babies became underweight and passed away cause they where following the program really hard core but that is all I know. I feel as a parent we should feed the baby when it is hungry while setting a daily plan. I would feed her alot during the day, even wake her up for feedings. she will sleep thought the night very soon after that, once she is getting food and gaining weight. I trully did follow a part of the program...but I think it doesn't work for all babies...the author told the press that he might have not done a lot of research before writing the book....It just makes me second ( ... )

I do wake her up during the day to feed her, she gets fed every 3 hours, and naps in there too. If she's asleep at the 3hr mark, I wake her and feed her again..

She IS gaining, she's NOT losing, she's gained 4lbs since she was 3days old...and she's 15weeks old.

The Ezzo'z (who wrote the book) wrote it because friends and family noticed how great their kids were so the began teaching what they were doing to a small group of families at their church.

The church in question has since cut all ties with them, because their views became more extreme, dangerous, and contrary to medical advice.

"She's meeting ALL her developmental milestones, she's bright, alert, active, strong...everything. She's just not gaining a heck of a lot of weight."

Well personally I don't think you have anything to worry about. Those centile charts are based on the weight gain of formula-fed babies. Breastfed babies will naturally put on less weight, but are in fact even healthier than the formula-fed babies. As long is she is not actually *losing* weight there's probably nothing wrong with her. If you think that maybe she does need a bit more milk, try offering her the second breast once she's finished the first one - if you give her about 25 mins on each side then she should take as much as she needs. Some feeds she might only want one breast, other feeds she might empty both of them. If she was hungry at night then she would wake up herself, I don't see any point in waking her up to feed, especially not when she's just started sleeping through.

she's not losing, not at all..just not gaining "enough" in the dr.'s eyes...it's so confusing :(

wow--thanks a lot.
these charts show (me) that hannah has actually gone UP in percentile(a very small amount, but she hasn't dropped, that's for sure!) :)
