Room time is so great!

Now that Munckee is down to one nap per day (because she sleeps from 7pm until 9am!) I'm finding it very hard to have any one on one time with Beebs. So today I decided to implement room time for Munchkee so Beebs and I could do something together. I was really diligent about Beebs' room time when he was younger and now he can play by himself for

I had a really hard time getting my kiddo not to scream at her baby gate during every roomtime, (she's extra stubborn...just like her mom =) but now she plays contently as long as I need her to and I'm really glad stuck with it. I think the time to herself helps her behavior, too, because she's really easily overstimulated and the down time alone seems to help her save some of her energy for the rest of the day. (We do roomtime in the morning right after breakfast.)

I also know I'm going to be grateful for this when we have more kids...when I need to give a new baby attention, I can give her roomtime and it will be part of her normal day, so (hopefully) she won't think that I'm just blowing her off for the newbie in the house.
