45 minute intruder!!!

My baby has a bad case of the 45 minute intruder. It's been going on about 4 days now and it is every single nap. He's 2 weeks shy of 4 months. Could he be ready for rice cereal all ready? I pumped and bottle fed him all day yesterday just to make sure he was full but he still woke up 45 minutes into his nap. It seems like it just isn't ( Read more... )

I've started both of my children at 17weeks on solids(it's been a fluke that it's the same age..I didn't plan on it!) :)
It's made a world of difference for my youngest(now 6mos)..

Growth spurt was my first instinct too. Which is why I let it go on for over 4 days before I decided that it was probably something else. After 4 days of feeding him every two hours all day, he definately needed some practice in putting himself back to sleep! I tried cereal a couple of times but he just thrusts it out. I think the main problem now is that he REALLY wants to suck his thumb and I won't let him. He wears little mittens to bed and I think they make him mad. I think he's starting to get over it now though because the past couple days have been going really well. The weird thing is, he wants to suck his thumb but he hates pacifiers.
