AP vs. Babywise

I was a bit disturbed by a comment somebody left on one of my rants in my journal regarding AP parenting. However it got me to thinking and looking again into the whole AP thing (I looked into with my first pregnancy and decided against it) And I still am just not impressed with the whole idea of extended breastfeeding and co-sleeping, and holding

You joined this community a bit after a horrible ordeal that we had here. Originally this journal was open to anybody and everybody. However, another community (an AP community) challenged their members to come in here and tell us all what a bunch of "effing" child abusers we were. Only they used the actual words. It went on for several days and many of our members were personally attacked. Because of that we had to lock our community down and we haven't had a problem since. I was proud of the way our members all handled the situation.

I've been doing babywise for almost 4 years now with my three kids. The only people who ever attacked me were the AP parents. I don't know what their deal is and I am shocked at how hateful some of them can be. You are not alone!

I think I remember that incident being mentioned when I asked to join the community. It just baffles me that people who claim to raise their children in such a loving way are so closed minded to everybody else's parenting techniques.
