Yeah. Sometimes it's aspiration that holds them back, but when that's taken care of on top of everything else... damnit, don't make me get the Insim. 8|
I like the crib. XD I was going to go for black frame & black padding, but I don't like that look, so this is how it is. I look forward to seeing her as a toddler, though. Should be very interesting facially.
You are starting to progress very nicely in this challenge! I can't wait to see what goes on in the black generation. I have a feeling it is not going to be drama free.
I'm looking forward to seeing Hellebore and her unborn sibling(s) take on the world, one aspiration failure at a time. It should make for good updates. XD
Jacaranda's hair (sleeping hair, especially) is sooooo pretty! And her bunny slippers are quite cute, too.
This family is making major bank! Do you have any major house expansion plans in mind, or do you think the generations will mostly keep the original home?
I'm so glad I made her a redhead, way back. XD She looks amazing as one.
I'm not sure. Generally speaking, if a home is built as the family grows (see Omega, Patchwork, Confetti, Hark, etc) then I am reluctant to move them out because the house is expressly catered to their needs. It's grown with them and is usually the best suited house in the neighbourhood. I don't think I'll do much in the way of expanding this particular home - it's quite a fair bit back, almost at the edge of the lot, so it can only expand forwards. Once Blue and Purple gen go, I can take out the Spellroom and the house will be much bigger. It will then be a proper 3-gen home.
Second and third-gen sims, though (like the Bruties, Omega 2, etc) ... when they've moved into a pre-built home, then yeah, I probably will shunt them (and their descendants) around quite a bit over the generations. I prefer to expand instead of move, because decorating can be such a chore, but sometimes you just need a bigger place. XD Plus, then I can use some December houses! :D
I know what you mean about the decorating. I like doing it, but it can take so long to get things just the way I want them that I'm usually loath to let go of the finished product. But I'm also a tiny-house enthusiast, so I look at floor plans like that and can't help but think, "oh yeah, you could totally fit another bathroom in there and set up some bunk beds over here..." Then again, I also start to freak out if there are more than 5-6 sims in one house, so I guess that keeps my cram-it-in instincts in balance?
I take ages to make up my mind about what theme a house should have, especially since I'm wary of recycling the same stuff for every family, so I'll redo a kitchen at least twice and a bedroom at least three times. Cannot help it. XD So by then I get rather bored by the whole thing, and lose interest before it gets finished.
It is! I'm a big fan of having challenges within a BACC, it makes the families interesting and prevents you from falling into a rut of marry/breed/job/promotion/skill/baby/birthdays/marry/breed, and so on. C:
I really like Jacaranda's genetics. I hope they carry well through the family. C:

I hate when Sims inexplicably don't get promoted and you know they have all the right stuff to!
Haha, that black crib just seems wrong.
