Wow, what a fucked up family! Your friend's mother doesn't even realize that by saying shit like that, she's losing people's respect. How sad.

I applaud your one-line response to her invitation. I wouldn't have been able to hold back in telling her how stupid and childish this all sounds.

OMG the nerve of that woman. Well, by asking if she's done something wrong just shows me that she knows she's being a douchenozzle about this.

Let us know how you respond!

"Wow. This isn't easy for me, because I'm a bit of a peacekeeper. You may not like me very much 30 seconds from now, but this needs to be said.

My reason is quite simple. Justin is my friend. The idea of attending a hush-hush, secret party...thrown by his mother...to which he is not invited...feels incredibly wrong to me. Honestly, the fact that this hush-hush, secret party exists in the first place strikes me as being downright childish. Silly. Absurd. Something I want no part of. This is non-negotiable, so please don't try. If anything, please just be happy that your son has such a loyal friend. It seems like he could use that right now.

Or, to put it bluntly, I'm too old for this crap. We all are."

I'm too nice to be mean! Damn it! But man, I hope she feels as small as she is in my eyes right now.

O_O

That's going to be interesting to watch as time goes on.

And by interesting I mean "train wreck in slow motion".
