How about those Kpop artists I mentioned? I recommend AST1 (Dynamite, Naega Anira), B2ST (Bad Girl, mystery), CROWN J (Baby You) and KARA (Honey) for some catchy songs :D
Also, this! http://hellolingo.net/ A global pop music podcast run by a friend of mine. I have discovered so many good songs/artists through this show :)
I actually tried to find stuff to 'sample' of those artists with no luck, except CROWN J, there are a couple at kpop_uploads, but not the one you mentioned. Any recommendations where to find it?
Marillion is fun, too, if you want to listen to people singing interesting lyrics about things that might get you to sit down and google just what the heck they're singing about.
That's actually a good question and I'm not sure the answer. Might just be that I'm tired of everything I have, thus, tired of all the same music. Especially since I have a fairly wide variety of genres. If you feel like spamming me, go for it, but don't work too hard! :-)
I really love that band and there's a lot of history with me and them... just with friends going to see this band live, the lead singer sold me a sweatshirt at one of their shows and I got to hang out with them once and their drummer offered me beer even though I was only like... 19. I used to be friends with this group of guys who were all really big into indie music and we each had like 'our' band and this was 'my band' and the songs and CDs tell a story (the band though this all out beforehand) and they inspired a lot of my own writing... I don't know what it is about this PARTICULAR song but just the break down of the whole thing really got to me or something... and I used to try to put the story together while I listened to the songs and this one just always got stuck in my head.
idk if that makes any sense... but that's the best I can do to explain it, lol.
ooh, so the song has some history for you, that's cool. I was wondering b/c all these comment on YouTube say it's about some guy having to watch his gf get gang-raped.
So far I love the Namie. I thought someone posted another really cool PV by her in some funky leather gear not too, too long ago, but maybe it wasn't her. I found a few of her CDs to d/l and check it out more. I'm making my way through the YouTube links!

Because I have no idea what kind of music interests you, I might spam you with music that in no way interests you at all >.>
