Coming home.

I kept on running, getting away from whatever could be coming after me. I knew they would find out soon what had happened and come after me. Having nowhere else to go, I made my way to Wolfram and Hart. Looking down at myself, I knew I didn't look like the sharp dressed guy I usually am. Shaking my head at that, I walk up the steps when someone ( Read more... )

I had just finished leaving Lena's house when my cellphone rang again. Jacobs, that moron in the mail room. At least I knew he always had his ear to the ground. I could count on him for information. It came at a price, but when you work for Wolfram and Hart for a long time you start to accept that everything comes with a price ( ... )

Angel, what a pleasant surprise.

My eyes narrowed, looking her in the eye. Gee, Lilah, can't really say the same, yet I was going to come see you, just didn't think it would be so soon. Looking behind her, I see the apartment, seeing how my imposter was living. Pretty nice, I could have decorated better.

Walking past her, I'm surprised I didn't get hit with a shield. I'm guessing since the imposter is dead, or maybe it was just because he was a demon, it doesn't matter. Either which way, I'm walking past her, into the apartment. I hear the door close and before she knows it, she's pressed against the wall, my hand around her neck.

"Give me one reason," I say, teeth clenched, eyes narrowed.

I clenched my jaw as I felt a hand encircle my throat for the second time in one day. What is it about me? They always go for the throat, and this thing comes off a little easier these days. I gave him my patented bored Lilah Morgan look as he squeezed down on my throat.

"One. You can't kill me, I'm already dead." I said as I pressed my back into the wall. First Lena, now him. This really isn't my day, hopefully Wesley, or Mr. Wolf I should say is having better luck than I am. In fact I know he is.

"Two. If you tear my head off now, you'll never know why." Lips went back up into the smirk as I looked at his pretty face.

Sighing, I push myself away from her and put my hands on my hips, looking at the carpet. "Fine. Tell me why." Giving off a sarcastic look, I walk around, looking how this thing was living. Shaking my head, I turn back and look at her. Ten years I've been caged up, probably her doing. And I'm hungry.

"Go ahead Lilah, tell me a little story about Angel the Imposter." Running a hand through my hair, cringing, I realize that I really need a shower, but right now that's the least of my worries. I'm hungry and I'm sure that hell blood is pumping away, I'll use her as an appetizer.
