I was a little annoyed we were letting Lilah go so easily but I figued it I didn't have a lover Wolfram & Hart messed with--yet--so I'd let them keep the lead on this one. And I knew the thing we needed most was to find Wes and well, figure out what to do with him. But I also wasn't looking foward to dealing with him ( Read more... )

My eyes traveled up to the building that we were parked in front of us. No doubt he'd be expecting us, even if Lilah hadn't already called him and let him know. Why hadn't we chopped her head off again? Guess we were just too preoccupied with other shit.

Taking a deep breath I looked over at Buffy, before putting my hand on her arm. "We can't kill him." Knew it was what everyone was waitin' to hear from me, and maybe they'd all try and fuck me over like they were always tryin' to do back in the day. But I knew if it came down to Wesley or Buffy, I'd choose Wesley everytime. Didn't matter what he was up to these days. Killing him, it just wasn't an option. Especially now that I knew he couldn't hurt Morrigan. Fuck the rest of the world, it can go to hell. But my family? I would have them back, if it was the last thing I ever did.

"We can't kill him."

I look at Faith and for a moment I resent her words. However she has a point, I had killed Angel and Wesley was not exactly someone I was very fond of at this moment. However the man that had shot at me and had thrown me in front of the bus was not Wesley. It was Wesley but I had learned to forgive, holding a grudge would just be a waste of time right now. I wanted to help Wes and I refused to believe Lilah.

“No we can’t but we have to stop him.” I said giving Faith a rather serious look. “I don’t believe Lilah completely but to help Wes we will probably need to stop him.”

I wasn't suprised to hear those words out of Faith's mouth. I knew it was coming. And I knew I couldn't blame Buffy for hesitating. Wes had afterall tried to kill her a few times, but hey hadn't this Angel guy tried to kill her too. Maybe I should try to kill Buffy. Then I'd really fit in. Of course, not like I was going to say this.

"Okay, no one is killing. We just need to go up there and figure out what we're dealing with. It's four against one. And if that's not enough, we'll retreat and come back later with more."

Okay, so maybe I was slipping back into being a leader, but someone had to keep a level head.

We drove for awhile and I have to say, Buffy Summers' can't drive. At all. I was already weak from not eating and sitting in a cell for ten years, but this was torture. We finally pulled up at a building and I over heard what they were saying.

I pretty much kept to myself because I had no idea what was going on. All I knew was that something happened to Wes and it wasn't him anymore. Well, he once ... was my friend and I agreed with Faith to not kill him, but if we had to, that's what we'd do. I know that's what's going on in Buffy's head.
